Craftsman lawn mower blades and other craftsman lawn mowers parts are made by AYP / EHP when the craftsman model number starts with 917.
Models starting with 143 are produced by Tecumseh...these model numbers are for the engine parts only, not the craftsman  equipment  and mowers. 

  Craftsman riding lawn mowers are fine quality craftsman riding lawnmowers at budget pricing. The quality of Craftsman riding lawnmowers cannot be questioned. The parts for these riding tractor are high quality, and they offer some of the sharpest blades on the market. Craftsman snow blades are still available in limited supply.
